Sustainability is something we take seriously here at Zabette.
We believe the fashion industry needs to do better and we're dedicated to being part of radical change within the industry. We also believe in transparency rather than dirty secrets, so here's how we do what we do...
Textile Sourcing: We primarily source from Kendor out of British Columbia, however the textiles we order are milled (produced in) Austria. We try to keep textile sourcing as close to home (Buffalo, NY) as possible, especially given the recent supply chain issues.
Patterning: Liz, our founder, does all of the initial designing, patterning and sample making before dropping them off at The Factory Buffalo for grading (making all the different sizes).
Production: Liz cuts and sews each garment herself in her studio, which means it takes a little longer than if they were manufactured in a large production facility, but each garment is crafted by her and to the highest quality.
Tags: Our label and care tags are made from 100% organic cotton, made in North Carolina.
Packaging: When your beautiful package of Zabette goodies arrive, you can trust that each component is recyclable, compostable or both as stated below:
I hope that answers any questions you may have about our sustainability initiatives, as always, if you have any questions about our commitments please don't hesitate to send us a message here.
