Embroidery helps to alleviate stress, keep the brain healthy and eyes sharp along with being able to express yourself through another form of art.
Cross learning a new skill off your to-do list this year and come learn some embroidery basics. In this class you will learn 10 basic embroidery stitches and be able to start making decor or customizing your own garments! ✨
Details:
- Saturday, April 29 from 2-5pm: First we'll cover 10 basic embroidery stitches, then move on to transfer techniques to put your design onto fabric. Any remaining time will be spent embroidering your bookmark(s). There will be two styles of bookmark, corner page and standard size. Snacks and tea will be available.
- Beginner friendly! I keep enrollment to a maximum of 8 people, so it’s very easy to go around and give individualized attention if you need it.
- Optional: Bring your favorite book to talk about with the group, write down any favorite book quotes and/or inspirational images.
- Minimum enrollment is 4 persons. You will be notified 48 hours prior to the class if it is going to take place.
Classes will take place at Wax & Wane - 464 Amherst St. Buffalo, NY
What's included: All materials such as embroidery floss, thread, needles, embroidery hoops, scissors, fabric scraps, sequins, yarn, stabilizer, iron, marking pens and more. PLUS your own kit to take home full of supplies to continue!
