In this class you will learn techniques that will help you keep your most loved pieces looking their best, while adding a little extra pizzaz ✨
- Saturday, February 19 12:00 - 3:00 PM: First we'll cover 10 basic embroidery stitches along with button re-attachment techniques and have some time to practice them on different types of textiles. Next, you get to play around with mending your own pieces. You'll leave class with some sweet new skills and your cool revitalized threads!
Classes will take place at Wax & Wayne - 464 Amherst St. Buffalo, NY
Whats included: Materials such as embroidery floss, thread, needles, embroidery hoops, scissors, fabric scraps, iron-on interfacing, iron, marking pens...and more!
What to bring: You can bring up to three garments that need a little TLC and we'll go over some ways to help bring them back to life.
This event is BYOB, beer or wine only. Snacks and tea will be provided. Face masks are required.

About the instructor: Liz is a skilled apparel designer, with over 20 years of sewing experience she has been taught by some of the world's top couture embroidery artists, including Beata Kania, a two-time Hand & Lock Prize winner. She has studied apparel design and styling at London College of Fashion in London, England, obtained her BFA in Fashion Studies at Columbia College Chicago and after completing her degree, moved to Montréal, QC for an internship with designer Brit Wacher. Since completing her internship she has ventured into the world of fashion producing custom garments for clients, freelance embroidery projects and is producing her first collection right here in Buffalo, NY.
