The Story Behind the Name

So, why Zabette? The name of this brand is more an ode to who I strive to be when it comes down to it. 

Zabette means anything that is new or can surprise you is welcome with open arms. Routines of a so-called "normal" life bore you immensely. Wanting to fly high and experience adventure you might be suited for jobs that are somewhat unusual.

Here at Zabette, adventure is taken seriously. This doesn't always mean jet-setting to far off lands, hitting the trails or rock climbing everyday but that life itself is an adventure - and we're present for it.

Zabette is a lifestyle. She's who I am and also who I want to be.

She's fun, a little flirty and never afraid of adventure. 

She's an avid explorer whether she's photographing wildlife in the Serengeti or losing herself in a painting at the Uffizi.

She's in touch with the women who fought for her so she can go where she wants to go, following in their bold footsteps.

She keeps a little piece of everywhere she visits stowed away in her hear. From heart to hearts with a Māori man while sitting in a Wharenui in the Te Papa, to remembering exactly how the lights twinkled in the Eiffel Tower at midnight in Paris.

Home isn't a place, it's just wherever she happens to be.
