Sustainability is something we take seriously here at Zabette.
We believe the fashion industry needs to do better and we're dedicated to being part of radical change within the industry. We also believe in transparency rather than dirty secrets, so here's how we do what we do...
Textile Sourcing: Sourcing primarily comes from second-hand sources such as thrift stores and Stitch Buffalo - a local nonprofit.
Patterning: Liz, our founder, does all of the initial designing, patterning and sample making. When It comes time to give a full production run a go - we'll be transparent about the process!
Production: Liz cuts and sews each garment herself in her studio, which means it takes a little longer than if they were manufactured in a large production facility, but each garment is crafted by her and to the highest quality.
Tags: Our label and care tags are made from 100% organic cotton.
Packaging: When your beautiful package of Zabette goodies arrive, you can trust that each component is recyclable, compostable or both. We 💖 Ecoenclose and all they have to offer for sustainable packaging.
I hope that answers any questions you may have about our sustainability initiatives, as always, if you have any questions about our commitments please don't hesitate to send us a message here.
