Have you always wanted to learn embroidery but didn't quite know where to start?

This class is for you!

In this class you will learn the 8 basic embroidery stitches and be able to start making decor or customizing your own garments! ✨


  • Sunday, February 19 2:00 - 5:00 PM:  First we'll cover 8 basic embroidery stitches, then move on to transfer techniques to put the pattern on the fabric. Any remaining time will be spent embroidering your piece. We'll have snacks and tea available! 

50% of profits from this class will be donated to Feed More WNY in support of our city through these difficult times we've faced recently, and those continuously experiencing food insecurity.

    Classes will take place at Wax & Wayne - 464 Amherst St. Buffalo, NY

    What's included: All materials such as embroidery floss, thread, needles, embroidery hoops, scissors, fabric scraps, stabilizer, iron, marking pens and more.

    This event is BYOB, beer or wine only. Snacks and tea will be provided. All current Erie County COVID rules will be adhered to.

    About the instructor: Liz is a skilled apparel designer, with over 20 years of sewing experience she has been taught by some of the world's top couture embroidery artists, including Beata Kania, a two-time Hand & Lock Prize winner. She has studied apparel design and styling at London College of Fashion in London, England, obtained her BFA in Fashion Studies at Columbia College Chicago and after completing her degree, moved to Montréal, QC for an internship with designer Brit Wacher. Since completing her internship she has ventured into the world of fashion producing custom garments for clients, freelance embroidery projects and is producing her first collection right here in Buffalo, NY.
